About treatments

Five Element Acupuncture is a system of medicine based on the philosophy of the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. These elements represent different aspects of nature, the body, and the mind. When the elements are in harmony, a person experiences physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, but when there is imbalance, illness or emotional distress can occur.

People come to see me for all kinds of reasons,

My treatments are completely tailored to your unique needs, so we start with a thorough consultation where I take note of your health history and current concerns. After the acupuncture needles are carefully inserted, you’ll have time to rest and relax, before we end the session with any advice for after treatment.

How treatment can support you

Five Element Acupuncture is aimed at restoring balance across multiple levels of your being, by focusing on the flow of energy and the interconnectedness of the elements.

Whether you come see me for anxiety, gut health, sleep issues, or other concerns, looking at your health with acupuncture’s holistic lens, will support your overall health and help manage or reduce symptoms.

How to prepare for treatment

In your first session I will take an in-depth health history before starting your acupuncture treatment. It’s best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
